Alex
Alex’s passion for the natural world began in childhood, inspired by the wildlife television show 50/50, a South African classic similar to National Geographic.
This early fascination laid the foundation for a lifelong interest in ecology, conservation, and the wilderness.
After matriculating, Alex took a gap year to explore potential career paths. Although he initially aspired to become a doctor, financial constraints led him to reconsider. Guided by his enduring love for wildlife, he chose to pursue formal field guide training instead, a decision that shaped the course of his life.
Since beginning his guiding career in 2016, Alex has built a decade of experience in the safari industry.
What truly drives Alex is his deep appreciation for the interconnectedness of the natural world. He is passionate about understanding and interpreting the cycles of life and the intricate relationships that allow ecosystems to thrive.
His guiding style reflects a commitment to education, conservation, and sharing the wonder of the bush with every guest he encounters.
