Hoedspruit Safari Co now offers a 2-day birding adventure covering four unique biomes in the Hoedspruit region.
Itinerary:
- Day 1 — Olifants River & Pridelands Bushveld
- Morning (Riverine): Search for river specials like Pel’s Fishing Owl, African Finfoot, Giant Kingfisher and White-backed Night Heron, Brown headed Parrot, Trumpeter Hornbill along the lush Olifants River.
- Afternoon (Bushveld): Explore Pridelands for classic bushveld favourites including Lilac-breasted Roller, Magpie Shrike, Burchell’s Coucal, Striped kingfisher, Pearl Spotted Owlett— with the bonus chance of spotting big game.
- Day 2 — Mariepskop Forest
- Ascend into cool Afro-montane forest in search of forest gems such as Knysna Turaco, Chorister Robin-chat, Cape Batis, Grey Cuckooshrike and Olive Woodpecker.
- Includes a picnic breakfast and lunch on the mountain.
